Reasons Maktab Life Sucks
- suburb - although the Maktab aka Institut Perguruan Temenggong Ibrahim aka IPTI is located in Larkin, just next to the public library, metres away from the Larkin interchange-bus-stop-cum-bazaar, it is still as in the suburb to me. Lives in a limited compound where you could not access to internet easily. Newspapers are unavailable. And it explains why I needed to wait for few days before I heard the Mumbai news ++".
- food supply - well, this is the most essential matter to me. FOOD, people cannot live without it, especially me. Besides of Malay delicacies, nothing else you could get from the cafeterias. As we known, there is not much of vegetable provided in Malay delicacies, thus, this is the golden opportunity for those chinese restaurants which own a delivery service to earn a huge profit ++".
- life is deadly dull - no game, no fun, no siesta, no computer, no entertainment, etc... what we have is only... STUDY and LEARNING. People can hardly imagine or even get the chance to experience the life of studying from 0730 hour to 2200 hour. Counting down the day of going back home becomes the matter of routine.
- money - at IPTI, no matter how thriftly you are, you must spend certain amount of money in order to clear numbers of payments. So far, I have spent 'bout 700 bucks within these 5 weeks. Half of my salary just gone like that. Should I conclude that IPTI = blood-sucking vampire?
I am not going to get used of these sort of lifestyle. Just 'cuz I do not want myself to get used of it...
