Big Apple Donuts & Coffee

a roasting hot day in August. Even the dream could be that dreadful. Yeah, I had a bad dream during my nap just now. The dream was 'bout my entire right palm has finally fractured into pieces. And I was sobbing half-dead with fear. ++" A freaking hell bad dream, ain't it?

knowing the Big Apple Donuts via my favourite gourmet blogger, BMKia. And somehow, I got to know from my dearest pupil aka junior gourmet, we do have a Big Apple Donuts and Coffee in JB as well, unlike what he said that Now this is something that we can only get in KL and Selangor area cannot get in Penang.. Big Apple donuts. Since I knowing it, there is no excuse to miss the little pastry.

couple days ago, Lan Sze and I went to Big Apple Donuts which is located in Plentong Tesco Extra, to witness how fantastic a little donut could be. Since it was not at the peak hours, Lan Sze and I were not need to wait in a long queue. Instead, both of us were cracked at chosing our favourite flavour from the many Big Apple Donuts.

I have had chosen 12 pieces of donuts. And I did forgot the name of few donuts. It is simply 'cuz of my delicated chosen were all based on the colouring. ++"

well, I was actually consumed 3 pieces of them. And the others were just merely shared with the family. As BMKia has recommended to give The Alien a big try, and for sure I would not just stare at it. Basically, the Big Apple doughnut is not taste as good as I had expected. Compared to Dunkin doughnut, the Big Apple's tastes slightly harder. However, the chocolate cream and the chocolate strips do taste great and smooth. And it is not too sweet to me.

another recommended donut, Duren (Durian) which is highly introduced by the pupil aka junior gourmet. It is the only donut which the buyers must finish it within the 3 hours. And it is much better to taste it when it is freshly coming out from the oven. Till now, I still have no idea what exactly the fill is made of. A cream-lookalike fill with strong scent of durian. However, it is not creamy at all. No fresh of durian is found in the snow white fill. But the fragant of durian is that strong as you thought that you are eating durian. Anyway, it is too bad the outer layer is not crunchy enough to me. A little bit of disappointed over that issue.

the another donut which I had already eaten was in peanut butter flavour. The white chocolate layer with few of chocolate lines supposed make the donut taste dull. However, the donut is filled with peanut butter. By right, it enriched the taste of donut. BUT... chocolate and peanut butter are not in match to me. A flaw for the little donut.

anyway, there are other flavours offer in Big Apple. It is really worth to try as the price is affordable. RM21 for a dozen, cheaper than Dunkin Donuts.
