Day 1, 11st June 2008
it had been 2 years I did not meet anyone of them... And the story will be started from the night old mama and I departed to her hometown, Kampar. First and foremost, it was the third day after the school holidays. Some cheating skills were needed in order to ask for permission to on leave.

well, I did not sleep well in the bus. Worried 'bout the old mama's leg. That was the very first time of travelling after the femur operation. The bus was spoilt when we were just arrived Tanjung Malim, somewhere near to our destination indeed. And 'cuz of it, I had the chance to admire the morning scenery in Perak. We were finally reached Kampar at around 7.30am. The uncle picked us up and brought us to have our breakfast. Yeah, 2 years later, I had at last paid a visit at the familiar place, Kampar where it is a town without any trace of traffic lights.
needless to say, I have to introduce some local delicacies, by the way. On that morning, the uncle brought us to have wanton mee. As you should know, the Kampar wanton mee is slightly different with Johor's. Few of the Kampar's wanton stallholders would add up the char siew as one of the ingredients. And the one I ate was exactly without any char siew on top of the mee. Despite of that, I am here to emphasize the wanton which is also known as prawn dumpling in Kampar. Much different with Johor's, as the Kampar's stallholders are much prefer to use the fresh shrimps to make the wanton instead of the minced pork. You gotta love it after you have taste it. Guarantee.
(sorry for no photo will be uploaded as I did not shoot any photo of it since the uncle was just sitting in front of me.)

anyway, the prawn dumpling did not touched my heart mostly. In fact, the simple milo kosong won my heart. Unlike the watery-and-yet-tasteless milo kosong we used to drink in Johor, the Kampar's was extremely tasted like a cup of hot chocolate. I do addicted to the taste completely.
okay, it would be much confusing if I do not specify each of them. The uncle whom brought us to have breakfast is called Uncle Apollo. The uncle whom invited us to his son's wedding dinner is called Uncle Tao. The uncle whom lives next to Uncle Tao is called Uncle Long. After the breakfast, the uncle brought us to another Uncle Tao's house. And old mama and I were spent our nights at Uncle Long's house. A while later, old mama and I were off to Big Aunt's and next Aunt Kam's house. Then, Aunt Kam brought us to Aunt Keng's house which is located in Teluk Intan. That was the second time I had travelled that far. And due to some reasons, I had the opportunity to explore certain places in Teluk Intan as the old mama and her sisters decided to go for shopping there. Also, I bought some cloths for myself too. Kinda regret that I did not buy much as the price of those stuffs are more cheaper than JB's.
One of the town attractions is a Leaning Tower erected in 1885 by a Chinese builder, Mr. Leong Choon Cheong. It started to tilt four years after its construction finished due to an underground stream. The tower had a clock at the top, and still rings every 15 minutes now. The clock tower was originally used as a water tower, supplying water to the town area, while also reporting the time to all townfolks. It had also served as a beacon to guide ships into Teluk Intan Port. Currently it is a local tourist attraction, and no longer stores water. The area around the tower was paved with bricks and became a plaza. The main street at the centre of Teluk Intan is also named after Mr. Leong Choon Cheong to commemorate his contribution. The name of the street is "Jalan Ah Cheong"
hours later, we decided to go back as the old mama could not walk too much. We reached Uncle Tao's house again before the dinner time. Perhaps it was an hour earlier before the dinner time, the old mama and her sisters were off to Aunt Kam's house without telling me. So I ended up walking around the 2 houses compound lonely while the other relatives were too busy in preparing the buffet. After the sumptuous feast, I had started suffering from severe headache, caused by insufficient of sleeping hours. So I went to bed at around 11pm while the others were still partying...

Penny of Thoughts
Ni Ni, the nickname they used to called me since I was a child. Kinda awkward if people called me like that, especially I am now 22 years old. But, it felt friendly and warmth when relatives called me like that. I miss them.
time flies. The cousins' children are all grown up. Those youngers are naughty and shy. And those olders become more mature and thoughtful. The most common questions they asked were "do you have boyfriend?", "what course are you currently studying?", "...a teacher?"....., etc.
